I’m blessed as I listen to young children pray; their hearts are not loaded down with disappointment or lack of hope that so often weigh down adults. A child many times will see the truth of a situation but tack on faith filled desires. It is no wonder Jesus tells His flock,

“Let the children come to me. Don’t stop them! For the Kingdom of God belongs to those who are like these children.”

“Anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.”
BUT I WAS HURT
Like many of you, I have had experiences in my life and with family that have caused loads of tears, crying out to God, times of deep need to reaching out to support/ friend group, true heartache. Choosing to forgive or even to make the choices necessary to be healthy and feel our best can become a challenge within betrayal, abandonment, abuse, and pain. With the love, healing, and grace of forgiveness God gives us we can be empowered to also forgive. Then, we are the ones that get to live free, feeling good, anger absent, patient, clear thinking, and new lives.
PRAYER STARTER:
Jesus, thank you for your heart for family, that it be a place of safety, care, and support. There are places in my life that have fallen short of that beautiful design. As I choose to forgive I become free and I heal. Therefore, with your power and grace I choose to forgive; please help me walk forgiveness out. Thank you for your kindness and great love for me.
I break off generational mom/ daughter or father/ child curses here and now. I pray a blessing over my relationships and family from this point forward. Thank you God that you give me wisdom, protection, and the discernment needed for healthy boundaries. I pray a blessing over myself in Jesus’ name. I speak over my life because of the love and power of Jesus Christ: newness, healing, restoration, new garden and family tree from this point forward. All the good in my life be planted and bloom; all bad fruit to die and go back to the pit of hell were it came from. I say yes to your promises. Yes to your ideals of kind and fun family relationships and love. Yes Jesus in your name we pray.
