What is opposition?
Opposition is an action of opposing, resisting, or combating. There is antagonism or hostility. A person or group that someone is trying to defeat : a person or group that someone is competing against. Opposition may involve one person or a group of people opposing, criticizing, or protesting something, someone, or another group.
The act of placing or the state of position being placed opposite. The act of opposing, or the state of being opposed by way of comparison or contrast. The political party opposed to the party in power and seeking to replace it may even be named Opposition.
